Bioenergy terminal
The aim of the project is to find out what kind of concept of the bioenergy terminal could be made economically viable located in the Pyhäsalmi mine and utilizing geothermal heat and other sources of waste heat from the area.
The result of the project is a feasibility study that empowers the bioenergy and circular economy of Pyhäjärvi region and the surrounding areas. The project effectively takes advantages of the reuse of the mine site and combines recoverable sources of waste heat from the area. The project generates new information, operating model and investment & development and business plans that are freely available to regional or national actors to start new businesses. The results of the work serves these actors as a toolbox for further planning, implementing and investing in the Callio Bioenergy Terminal and it’s supply chains.
